What We Do and How We Do It
Digital Capture
Professional Workflows Ensure Quality
Working from your original pieces, Texas Photo Restoration makes high-quality, color-managed digital files for archival purposes before we begin any work. We can also archive your whole photo collection for you!
Restoration
Don’t Throw Them Out!
We know that memories fade, as do old photos. From portraits to wedding and school photos, drawings, paintings and beyond, our talented artists keep both alive by restoring and reproducing your precious images.
Reformatting
Give Your Press Impact
Did your business or client get a write-up in a newspaper, magazine, or online article? We can give that article real visual impact by reformatting and reprinting for framing and display in your lobby or office.
Archival-Only
Conservation-Quality Materials
All of our prints are created with artist-grade materials, including acid-free papers and the finest pigment inks from Vermont PhotoInkjet, a pioneering American fine-art ink company. Properly displayed, your new prints will last for generations without yellowing, fading or shifting color.
Experience
Professionals Trust Us
Our family has been in the art business in Houston since 1954, and we were among the earliest to provide digital photo restoration services to Houston-area clients in 2000. Framers, conservators, and galleries trust us with their work, and so can you!
Quality
It Has To Be Right
We are not a copy-shop. We are artists and craftspeople who insist on the highest quality. Our pledge to you is to provide you the very best workmanship and materials possible, no matter the project.
Bring Back the Memories
Images and documents can be ravaged by the passage of time, poor storage, and disaster or accidents. Texas Photo Restoration can rescue, preserve, restore, and reproduce them using archival materials and processes.
Don’t Let Them Fade Away!
Older photographs, especially color photos from the mid-to-late 20th century are notorious for changing color and fading away. Texas Photo Restoration can bring back those faded photos and make new prints that will stay rich and vibrant for generations to come. Our talented artists can even hand-recolor if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you restore my original photo?
No. We start with a high-resolution digital scan of your original material (photos, articles, documents, etc.) and make corrections and repairs using high-end digital tools. We then make a new print using archival materials and inks. Your originals are returned to you alongside your new prints.
Can I get a digital copy of my images?
Yes. For a modest additional cost we will provide a USB flash drive with a JPG copy of your completed project.
How much does it cost?
Costs are determined on a per-project basis. Basic projects start at $65 for a scan up to 8×10, basic touch-up and a new print up to 8×10. However, an individual estimate will be provided for each job. Please contact us for an estimate.
Can you provide references?
Yes. We have worked with framers, galleries and conservators throughout the area and are happy to provide references.
How can I make an appointment?
